So we present our Friendship DTR's to you.
PAIGE'S TAKE
I enjoy my emails and phone calls and IRL time with you in a way I haven’t enjoyed ‘girlfriend time’ in a long time.
I am perfectly okay if you have other friends and won’t feel in the least threatened if you tell one of them something you don’t tell me.
Although I worry if I don’t hear from you in a while, I’m not jealous or suspicious of your time not with me. I’m merely concerned for your well being.
I think we should plan to have a life-long friend ship that will end when you push my wheelchair off a cliff or I die. But not before.
I think it’s funny that we have so many similar likes and dislikes, but find it even more amusing that the things that make us different don’t seem to really change who we are.
I love the way your face lights up when you get a good idea (or the way I imagine it does if we’re online) and your odd, quirky sense of humor.
JEN'S TAKE
1. You're the only person I *talk* to on the phone. Take that for what you will.
2. I don't really care that some of your friends don't like me, though I do mind when they mindlessly attack what I say without getting to know me. I don't, however, like it when people try to crash our inside jokes. But I'll deal. We'll just make up some new inside jokes and not let anyone in on them.
3. I plan for all my friendships to be life-long which is why it hurts when one ends prematurely for whatever reason. And I think you'll outlive me, but I know that scares you. Oh well. Said it anyway.
4. I love that when I'm mad at you (or, perturbed) I get over it super quickly and never (this is recent) think it means the friendship is over.
5. I learned the art of grudge holding from my mother but I'll try not to practice it with you. (Feral cat.)
